Manic Monsoon Week One: Putik Power

UP Sunken Pleasure

Disc fever resumes with week one of the PUA's Manic Monsoon 2005. The league kicked (or rather hucked) off at the UP Sunken Garden this Sunday, September 25th.

Read more about the Philippine Ultimate Association from the PUA official website here.

I've also posted a gallery of about 60 snapshots.

Concert: Trinity College

Last September 23, Trinity College hosted a concert called Rock-@-by3-by3-glori@. It was a benefit concert held by campus activists calling for the ouster of GMA. Despite the serious theme, it was a fun, rocking affair.

Much thanks to Mavi for the access...

San Mig Lite Enduro Manila Leg

Thanks to X10 and Minda Ponce, I had the opportunity to cover the Elite category of the San Mig Lite Enduro Adventure Race. More than 90 teams joined, with more than 30 in the elite category. The elite racers ran, biked, paddled, and rapelled all throughout the metro. Below are a few samples of the photos I took for the event.

Check out more photos from the official San Mig website here.

2005 UP Astrosoc

I was part of the first batch of applicants of the UP Astronomical Society. I even lived in the old Bistro Astro for a short while - as did a few other members at the time. Bamm is still around, by the way - and looks as young as he ever did. How does he do it? - My guess is the bio-cosmic energy generated by the dome you see behind these kids.

The guys still hang around the old Diliman observatory. I dropped by and snapped a few shots. I'll be posting a gallery of shots soon. =)

UP49ers circa 2005

mouseketeers

The UP 49ers are a group of students taking up Metallurgy, Mining and Materials Engineering in the University of the Philippines. I became a member of the 49ers waaaay back in the 90's. I recently visited last Wednesday and took some pictures. Good to see that the kids still know how to party. =)
