"sunday morning"

I f Yoda was a photojournalist, he would say: F8, and there you must be.

I was walking in UP Diliman in front of the Engineering building, heading towards the Oblation. I reached the tennis courts, turned around and saw these lovely light rays filtering through the acacia leaves. Jogged back, I sat on the sidewalk and chose a composition, and waited until someone passed through the light. Much thanks to that girl on the bike - she made the shot work. Would buy her a beer if I knew who she was. :)

Looking for Light

I almost never set out to photograph a landscape, nor do I think of my camera as a means of recording a mountain or an animal unless I absolutely need a 'record shot'. My first thought is always of light.

Playing around with Picasa 2.0 - really good software. Fast, simple, enough features to make it useful. Not as hardcore as Photoshop, but good enough for most applications. The above collage took a minute to prepare. Best of all, it's free at http://picasa.google.com/download/

Sunken Pleasure Hat: July 2005

The UP SP hosted a hat tournament on the 31st of July. Scorching sun, monsoon rain, knee high grass and mud were enjoyed by the four teams.
